Please for the love of God fix something
After multiple title updates, CFB 26 is still a broken, frustrating mess. The patches have done next to nothing to fix the real problems. The game still plays like it’s stuck in beta, and the most important systems are fundamentally flawed. AI defense is clueless, offensive line play is pathetic, career modes are empty, cosmetics are lazy, and “updates” feel like they’re just there for PR.
The AI in this game is shockingly bad. Defense barely functions, and offensive line logic is a joke. Blocking is brain dead and the AI doesn’t adjust or learn from anything. In Road to Glory, if you play defense, your AI offense will put up numbers so bad they make the ’92 Seahawks look good — under 2,000 yards of offense in an entire season and barely 100 points scored. That’s not just bad, it’s unplayable. It kills any sense of realism, destroys immersion, and makes the mode a complete waste of time.
Road to Glory is hollow. Completely lifeless. The upgrade tweaks and high school “experience” they brag about don’t mean a thing when the mode has no depth, no meaningful progression, and nothing to keep you invested. There are no engaging storylines, no real decisions, and no reason to keep playing after the first few games. It’s one of the game’s headline features, yet it feels like it was slapped together in a weekend and abandoned.
Road to CFP isn’t broken in the same spectacular way as other modes it’s just meh. The concept is fine, but the mode is completely undermined by the game’s awful base gameplay. The same bad AI, terrible blocking logic, and sluggish controls that plague every other mode are here too, and they suck the fun right out of it.
Cosmetics are bland, lazy, and uninspired. Customization is almost nonexistent, and what’s there looks like it was thrown in at the last minute. There’s no creativity, no variety, and nothing that makes you feel like your player or team is unique. Missing cosmetics like single leg sleeves, ski masks, and neck gaiters are just plain unacceptable, leaving players misrepresented in the game. This is supposed to be part of the immersion, but here it’s just another reminder of how little effort was put in.
The menus are painfully slow and make doing anything unbearable. Navigating recruiting, depth charts, or settings it doesn’t matter. It legitimately takes 15 minutes of just waiting to get through recruiting every single week. This isn’t even an exaggeration; it may be an understatement.
There are many things throughout this post that could be adjusted, improved, or outright fixed, but let’s be honest nothing will be done. The boneheads developing this game are too inept to actually listen to their player base. We’ve been pointing out the same problems since launch (and some of these issues were present in 25!), and instead of meaningful fixes, we get fluff updates and minor tweaks no one asked for.
Do better.
