CFB 27 Beta Bugs/Thoughts/Feeback
I've played/simmed through 6 seasons now. I realize its a beta but these are my thoughts on the current state of the game I played
Bugs:
-Year 5 offseason players that were not on the Players Leaving menu, were in the transfer portal and caught me off guard in week 4 when I noticed they had left for another school.
-Can rugpull NIL soft committed recruits. Can remove NIL on soft committed recruits keeping the NIL funds with no penalty at all, they stay committed.
-Coach Contracts is still broken, it doesn't count all of the seasons you've been with the school. In my case it says I signed a year after I actually did.
Thoughts:
-Still too easy to sign 4 and 5 stars as a small/low level school. There were still so many 4 stars left unsigned I could scoop up 6-7 of them.
-Gameplay is a noticeable improvement. Scrambling in the backfield will yield big plays more often and I like that. Run blocking is better even if sometimes still whiffing once you get to the second level.
-I do like the Blueprint feature and that I can choose to go after other coordinators instead of being severely limited.
-I also like the Coaching Carousel, though it should be harder to get attention from the bigger programs if coming from a small school (example: after hitting certain milestones, after winning 2 coach/coordinator of the year awards, winning 50 games in 5 years, top 10 offense/defense 3 years in a row..ect)
-5 star recruits should be more expensive and harder to get for small/lower level programs.
-I would love to be able to see an overall year by year table of my career, sort by record, school, championships, recruiting ranking..ect.
-generated faces still look a little weird even though it is an improvement over last year. They still don't look like college students. skewing on the younger side and less beards might be helpful. Some have enormous foreheads.
-I played with Wake Forest for 4 of the 6 seasons, and noticed the mascots bowtie is stuck to his chin vs going under his chin. Maybe its supposed to be that way but an oddity I noticed.
-I would've liked a new score bug, they improved presentation noticeably and to not tweak the score bug even a little bit is a head scratcher.
-Pretty stable, only crashed once, I remember being in-game when it happened, don't remember what I was doing exactly.
Overall, I love the direction of this game, you can see a lot of time and energy went into improvements. It won't make everyone happy and they shouldn't try to appease everyone, but it will make fans of college football happy. The improvement from 25>27 is massive.
