Where have the EXPLOSIVE plays gone?

Removing the juke-speed burst ability has eliminated the possibility of an explosive running play. You already can’t pass deep in this game at all, now you also can’t break a long run. Was anyone asking for more 10-play 5-min grinding drives?
In the real world, athletes DO in fact accelerate out of cuts and breaks. You’re taught to explode out of a cut. It’s actually realistic - not a glitch. Also, it was a fun element for the “human joystick” ability and allowed for explosive runs. Now, that’s gone. You already couldn’t get to the edge and turn the corner on a pitch or option play, now you can’t break a run up the middle.
Combine this with the sheer inability to complete a deep pass, and you’ve create a game that feels boring on offense, now. The gameplay was awesome out of the box - it’s since slowly degraded with each patch.

I wholeheartedly agree. I think this works perfectly fine in Madden, but College Football is a different beast. Explosive plays, game-breaking speed, and momentum swings are a huge part of what makes college football feel like college football. The game should embrace that instead of trying to make every matchup play out like the NFL. If the goal is authenticity, let college football have its chaos and big-play potential. That’s what makes the college game special.
