Feature Request: Dynasty Data Export / Read-Only API
Feature Request: Dynasty Data Export / Read-Only API
I would like to suggest adding an official way for Dynasty commissioners to access and export their Dynasty data outside of the game.
The most important information would be:
- Full current rosters
- Player attributes/ratings
- Player season statistics
- Player career statistics
- Team season statistics
- Team historical statistics
- Schedules and game results
- Conference standings
- Team and league records
- Awards
- Recruiting information
1. Dynasty Data Export
Add a Commissioner option such as:
Dynasty Hub → Commissioner Tools → Export Dynasty Data
Allow the commissioner to export the Dynasty as CSV or Excel-compatible files.
Ideally, the export would provide separate files/sheets for things such as:
Roster Data
- Player name
- Position
- Class/year
- Overall rating
- Attributes
- Development/progression information
- Team
- Other roster information already available in Dynasty
Statistics
- Player season statistics
- Player career statistics
- Team season statistics
- Team historical statistics
League Data
- Schedules
- Game results
- Standings
- Records
- Awards
- Other Dynasty history
This would allow commissioners to maintain their own league databases, record books, spreadsheets and third-party tools without manually transferring information from the game.
2. Read-Only Dynasty API
A longer-term solution could be an official, read-only API that allows authorized third-party applications to access a Dynasty's data.
The API could provide access to the same core information as the export:
Rosters → Players → Statistics → Games → Standings → History
A commissioner could authorize an application to access their Dynasty, with access restricted to that specific Dynasty and the ability to revoke access at any time.
This could allow community-created tools to build Dynasty websites, statistical databases, Discord bots, record books, automated weekly recaps, broadcast packages and analytics tools.
Why this matters
Players are already creating spreadsheets, history trackers and record books to preserve their Dynasty stories. The problem is that much of this information has to be manually transferred from the game.
I currently run an online Coach Mode Dynasty league where we use Discord and a third-party Dynasty management/statistics tool. We are trying to maintain rosters, player statistics, team records, historical information and weekly league content.
Right now, getting that information into external tools can require manually entering information or taking screenshots of statistics and rosters from the game.
A simple roster/statistics export would eliminate a huge amount of that work.
An official API could take this even further and allow the community to build an ecosystem around Dynasty without EA having to develop every possible tool itself.
Even if a full API isn't practical immediately, a basic CSV/Excel export of rosters, player/team statistics and game results would be a major improvement.
This seems like a natural extension of Dynasty's emphasis on long-term history and the community tools players are already building around the mode.
