First half glitch cost me my game in my online dynasty

So I was recently playing a game against the cpu in my online dynasty and Washington, the team I was playing, started with the ball. I was up 10-3 going into halftime after I had just kicked a field goal with time expiring in the half. Then, out of nowhere they got the ball to start the second half as well, and scored. They eventually went on to win the game but if I had gotten the ball I guarantee I would have won the game. Why is this happening? EA please fix this
