I applied the token to my LT Josh’s Petty and it keeps just refunding the upgrade will I get my token back or will he upgrade I’m so confused

Update: I was able to upgrade 1 of the players (my DT.) However, I had to spend about 20 minutes repeatedly exiting and reentering the upgrade, trying each time to upgrade until finally it worked.
Just keep spamming the upgrade lol im on xbox and just kept trying and after 5 to 15 minutes each, I was able to upgrade them all! Kinda of a pain but it worked for me 🤷♂️
Same here. Got DT to upgrade after a couple of minutes of spamming. But not the LT, even after 15 minutes of spamming. Every couple of minutes it would evict me to the Home Screen for my efforts.
Same for my LT Petty, got 1 of my 5 players to upgrade and got shafted on Petty, do not want to waste any more tokens until I know it will work.
