I keep on getting challenge battles (80-90% of the time)
This makes no fun at all, since most are not winnable since opposing forces are vastly superior and have more powerful options
Why is it that “regular” opponents are not proposed?

Unfortunately, if you want good match-ups, you are sadly out of luck. The quality of the matchmaking in C&C Rivals is complete and utter crap.
When the game first started, there weren’t many players cemented in the leagues. Everyone was moving up. Even Masters league had lots of people with level 7 units.
Now all the players in each league are maxed out with their units. So when you travel up the ladder, you’ll face these players with maxed out units.
I often hear people say that the matchmaking sucks. Who are they going to match you up with? People from lower levels? No. You get matched up with people in your league. You can make it to Masters league with level 6 units if you are good enough. There’s no one in Masters with level 6 units. No one. So who will they match you up with? Someone from Gold league?

Same here I beat a lot of folks early and now get level 55 and above no fun loosing all the time I win a little but I think it’s luck because they have vastly superior troops
3rd day of straight challenge matches and that's all I ever get. It takes two units to beat one of theirs and they just simply just out build you from the get-go.
The only ones left it seems are the ones that actually paid for something. When you can touch him because they're so high above you. It's just getting to be ridiculously boring losing all the time.
