Balance Update - March 13

Commander,

It’s time for another round of balance changes. Please see below for unit balance changes that are now live.

GDI

Jump Jet Troopers

“A tune down on harvester aggression without affecting combat effectiveness.”

  • Damage to Harvesters decreased to 350 (was 400)

Kodiak

“Kodiak was proving to take a bit too long to kill even with a hard counter.”

  • Health decreased to 3465(was 4000).

Liang

“Liang’s drone cost reduced to help it combo efficiently with other units”

  • Cost decreased to 40 (was 60).

Lt. Strongarm

“Offered too much value as a scout on top of strong combat abilities.”

  • Turret Vision Reduced to 1 (was 2).

MG Squad

“This should help MG Squads get in position earlier.”

  • Speed increased to Average (was Slow).

MLRS

“More counterplay for vehicles against the MLRS.”

  • Reload increased to 6.5 (was 5).
  • Cost increased to 80 (was 70).

Mohawk Gunship

“This will normalize training differences between Mohawks and Attack Bikes.”

  • Damage decreased to 396 (was 410).

Orca

“Survivability buff.”

  • Health increased to 1210 (was 909)

Pitbull

“This is to account for training differences between Scorpion and Pitbull.”

  • Health decreased to 1745 (was 1800).

Predator Tank

“Tanks have dominated the meta in the last few months. This should promote a bit more diversity.”

  • Cost increased to 70 (was 60).

Rhino

“Now that the war factory has scouting units, the Rhino does not need extra vision.”

  • Vision Reduced to 2 (was 3).

Sandstorm

“Survivability boost for the Sandstorm.”

  • Health increased to 4330 (was 3600).

Sniper Team

“This will give Sniper Team a similar attack sequence to Attack Bikes.”

  • Time between attacks reduced to 0.1 seconds (was 1 second).

Talon

“Fixes to training differences as well as a buff when Talons are mispositioned.”

  • Damage increased to 57 (was 55).
  • Talon turn rate increased to 450 (was 150)

Nod

“Avatar has given players a bit to much bang for its buck. This change should bring it in line.

  • Health reduced to 5800 (was 6500)

Banshee

“This will normalize training differences between Banshees and Attack Bikes.”

  • Damage to Vehicles decreased to 396 (was 400).

Buggy

“Same as Rhino.

  • Vision reduced 2 (was 3).

Chemical Buggy

“This is to combat training differences.”

  • HP reduced to 1550 (was 1600).

Chemical Warriors

“This is to combat training influencing matchup between Chemical Warriors and Flame/Shock Troopers.”

  • Hp Increased to 620 (was 600).

Inferno

“Inferno has been a bit too easy to build. This cost increase will punish those who overbuild.”

  • Cost increased to 110 (was 100).

Rockworm

“This was an unintentional change that is being reverted with this patch.”

  • Base damage reduced to 500 (was 2000).

Scorpion Tank

“Same as Predator Tank.”

  • Cost increased to 70 (was 60).

Stealth Tank

“Players were simply resupplying their unit faster than the stealth tank could deal with it. This should bring the stealth tank closer to the gdi counterparts.”

  • Reload time decreased to 10 (from 12)

    Hmmm, I understand your points. I still think pitbull is better vs wheels that aren't in position, as the pitbull can fire on the move and while blocking, so it can wipe a wheel squad before it does anyhting useful, but on the other hand, bikes does a better job taking out wheels that are attacking something important like an mg squad. So there is a give and take to that. 

    but wardogs and wheels are 2 different units. They just kinda look the same. Wheels are 1 shots to everything anti-vehicle, where as wardogs are resistant to rockets/bikes/pits. So wardogs are better pad holders and can stall out decently against soft counters where wheels just get wrecked in half the time. 

    But the devs have acknowledged the complaints are and looking into wheels. Not sure how they will handle the nerf as it wouldn't be too hard to over do it and they will end up like drone swarms. Time will tell.

    True, there is a little mini-game there. If you scout and they scout, you can either block their harv as theirs blocks yours, or you can block with yours while your harv gets into position. Can be frustrating when you lose the mini-game though. Personally wheels/wardogs blocking harvs is silly to me. But I'll be honest, I've no good ideas to prevent it. 

  • Laser drone venom combo is pretty effective counter to wheels but then again if you are running two harvs in masters you are probably going to lose

    Drone is also hard to kill as they always need at least 4 hits on them to take the whole squad. They can stand longer than other aircraft (orca/banshee/talon/gunship) against high damage hammerhead/phantom which could not be reflected by their theorectical HP.
  • Ok nod confessors and gdi sandstorm are still super tanky it takes at minimum three buggy’s or chem. Buggy or rhinos to take them down unfortunately with this last update you pushed cheap tech to reflect this tech influenced approach it’s literally either destroy their harvs or they just tech flood I’m not sure why you guys changed it like that but it’s not at all improving game play experience...

    Uber units ? Well tbh they are trash two mgs take out confessors pretty easy and three laser squads or missle squads take out sandstorms pretty efficiently it’s a 60 tib swap basically and 50 for confessor mg swap...point is that tech is useless if you kill harvs they never see play...but I’m sure you are a tech player no skill and credit card debt (p2w) guy soo it’s whatever

    You know what, I think I'd side with him for once in saying that the game is trash. No, really; once you get a disconnect, you are pretty much screwed. Like a rabbit inside the mouth of a tiger. I'm here to complain about disconnections. I was playing on an emulator when for all of a sudden my router decided to turn itself on and off. What garbage for doing something like that! The reason why I decided to switch to emulators is to avoid said stupid lag, I can't win when one is laggy.

    If that was a virus, however, I would be really annoyed. I sure would like to hear the news about a virus that targets the guests of C&C rivals and cause the game to fluctuate in internet connection again and again. This would be catastrophic for any player that succumbs to this virus. I only saying this out of sheer annoyance for avoiding disconnections only for one to liver-punch me in the face. My ego is ruined cause of that glitch.

    so... rivals sucks because your router decided to turn off and then back on? Gonna have to agree to disagree on this one. Emulators aren't supported by the developers by the way, so don't get too upset when things don't work quite as intended.
  • the only thing that rly bothers me atm is unitlvl difference
