Cannot connect to Generals Online (could up until about 6 weeks ago)

Two machines, both running Windows 7 64-bit Home Premium...no changes to router or other hardware/software, all ports forwarded on the router per prior EA thread regarding this problem...the thing is, this (Multiplayer / Online) worked just fine on both machines for the past year and a half, then just stopped working. Times out every time with the "Cannot connect to Generals Online" message. Thanks for any help that can be provided.
