Cannot start missions nor skirmish, stuck in loading screen and never launches to play
I bought C&C Remastered from Steam, installed successfully with no issues. I was able to launch C&C Remastered and Red Alert Remastered.
Starting video played. Main menu items are selectable, I can start 'mission', I can start skirmish, and all other menu items.
In starting a new campaign mission, the intro video starts and play to the end then the transition loading screen shows up, but never leaves. I waited 30 minutes with no change to the screen I see and never able to play.
In starting skirmish games, I am able to select AI players and maps in the skirmish lobby. But when I start the skirmish mission, the skirmish lobby menu screen never ends and game never launches. I can't play any game mode. See screenshot attached of the lobby menu that never disappears. It's stuck there and never finishes loading.
I updated my graphics driver to latest version. I'd really like to play these games. Please help!
