Cant get my mouse or touchpad to work properly with your game

I cnt seem to get my mouse or tuochpad on my laptop to work with the game.It worked fine the 1st time but after that,its a no can do.HELP!!!!!i paid for this game & would very much like to play it.thanks for your time...Chris
