C&C UC Korean Language missing ONLY EA APPS VERSION

1. For a long time, purchasers of EA App versions have been missing Korean support.

2. With the release of this version of Steam, all games that originally existed in Korean will be supported.

3. At the same time as the Steam version was released, the EA app version was updated to the same version, but Korean is still not supported.

This just only depot of korean language file missing on EA Apps version

I ask EA Help to about this, 20+ reply but never reading case, I've gotten dozens of replies telling me to go to the FAQ instead of reading what I'm saying.

ALL 100% korean is same situation.

This is not problem of My PC spec

This is not problem of My PC error

This is not problem of My EA Apps language setting

This is not problem of My EA Apps downloaded game language setting

Stop ask my dxdiag or spec, setting of PC

saying again ALL 100% korean is same situation.

ANYONE of EA just tell related department to "EA Apps version of C&C UC Mission language file depot"

Can you specify exactly which games were released in Korean but aren't available in Korean on the EA App?

@Parin Yes, that's indeed strange. C&C1, Red Alert 1 and Tiberian Sun should all be available in English, German and French, with Japanese available on C&C1 and Spanish available on Tiberian Sun.

I'll check it out, see what I can find, and report it to the people working on it.

    @Parin

Red Alert 2 contains Korean, though. See the attached image.

Generals + Zero Hour on Steam indeed seems to come in a multitude of languages:

    • English
    • Deutsch (German)
    • Français (French)
    • Italiano (Italian)
    • 한국어 (Korean)
    • Español - España (Spanish - Spain)
    • 繁體中文 (Traditional Chinese)
    • Polski (Polish)
    • Português - Brasil (Portuguese - Brazil)

I have confirmed that in the EA App, it only shows "English", so this is indeed an error.

I'm checking the other games now. I'll post more when I made a full overview.

I have confirmed that only Command & Conquer: Generals is missing languages in the selection menu. I have passed this information on to someone who is involved in the project.

All the others are the same on EA and on Steam, though. This is a full overview of all languages available in all games on Steam:

    Command & Conquer 1:

    • English
    • Deutsch (German)
    • Français (French)
    • 日本語 (Japanese)

    Red Alert 1:

    • English
    • Deutsch (German)
    • Français (French)

    Tiberian Sun:

    • English
    • Deutsch (German)
    • Français (French)
    • Español - España (Spanish - Spain)

    Red Alert 2:

    • English
    • Deutsch (German)
    • Français (French)
    • 한국어 (Korean)
    • 繁體中文 (Traditional Chinese)

    Renegade:

    • English
    • Deutsch (German)
    • Français (French)
    • 한국어 (Korean)
    • 日本語 (Japanese)

    Generals + Zero Hour:

    • English
    • Deutsch (German)
    • Français (French)
    • Italiano (Italian)
    • 한국어 (Korean)
    • Español - España (Spanish - Spain)
    • 繁體中文 (Traditional Chinese)
    • Polski (Polish)
    • Português - Brasil (Portuguese - Brazil)

    Tiberium Wars + Kane's Wrath:

    • English
    • Deutsch (German)
    • Français (French)
    • Italiano (Italian)
    • Español - España (Spanish - Spain)
    • Русский (Russian)
    • Polski (Polish)
    • Nederlands (Dutch)
    • Svenska (Swedish)
    • Magyar (Hungarian)

    Red Alert 3 + Uprising:

    • English
    • Deutsch (German)
    • Français (French)
    • Italiano (Italian)
    • Español - España (Spanish - Spain)
    • Русский (Russian)
    • Polski (Polish)
    • Magyar (Hungarian)
    • Čeština (Czech)

    Tiberian Twilight:

    • English
    • Français (French)
    • Deutsch (German)
    • Polski (Polish)
    • Русский (Russian)
    • 繁體中文 (Traditional Chinese)
    • 한국어 (Korean)

So, not all games contain Korean, but the only one with a real problem is Generals + Zero Hour.

Let me tell you what's wrong and what's missing.

C&C3 is not supported in Korean on both Steam and EA Apps. It was originally released in Korean in 2008, but for unknown reasons, it remains region-restricted on Steam and is not available for purchase in Korea, and even after the release of UC, Korean has not been supported.

I hope you can communicate the region restriction and Korean support of C&C3 to us so that we can resolve this issue.

Also, Steam's language support list is not actually correct at all.
It is not listed for Korean support,
RA2 RA3 C&C4 RENEGADE are all actually available when installed.

On the other hand, EA Apps versions are all English versions, even if you select Korean and install them.

    Here are some related posts

Unfortunately, you'll have to use a translator to view them.

I re-downloaded the game today and found that
I realized that EA Apps' RA2(include Yuri) has the Korean language applied. Apparently, the Korean language was not working when the Steam version was released.

I'll try deleting all the games in UC (which should have Korean support) and reinstalling again to check again.

    On EA App

    RA2 - Korean support

    RA2 Yuri - Korean support

    Renegade - Korean support

RA3 - No korean support (can not select korean when install) <-- why? same on steam

    RA3 uprising - Korean support

    Generals - Korean support

    Generals ZH - Korean support

C&C3 (can not select korean when install)

C&C4 - korean support    but can not execute main game <- idk my pc problem or something, need ask to korean community

All game depots for both the Steam and EA versions of the game are synchronized, so there doesn't seem to be any issues at the moment.

A few days after the Steam version was released, the EA version was updated to the same version, but when I checked at the time, there were no games available in Korean. It appears that the fix was completed while I was inquiring. Those who bought the EA version had to use language patches from the user community for over 10 years.

Currently, only RA3 is missing the Korean language on both EA and Steam, and I would love to be able to communicate this to them so they can fix it.

Strange. As far as I can see, it's impossible to install the expansion without the base game, and on the base game I don't get Korean as listed language. So how do you achieve to get it in the "Uprising" expansion pack?

Do you know if there was an official Korean translation for these games?
