The CD protection is obviously not an issue since these all run from hard disk, but besides that, well, the C&C series contains a bunch of games from very different eras, and each of those have their own problems on modern OSes. Most of those have been solved by fan efforts, though, either through fan-created patches, or just knowledge on what settings to fiddle with.
