Command & Conquer™ The Ultimate Collection failed to launch

Command & Conquer™ The Ultimate Collection failed to launch since changed to EA Apps

tried all the solutions provided by EA Advisors, problem still exist.

EA refuse to refund the game. What else i can do?

Steps I had tried:

Please follow the below steps to Flush the DNS once :- 1. Please search CMD after pressing the Windows key. Once that is done, Right click on CMD and click on "Run as Administrator" 2. When the command prompt opens, type ipconfig/flushdns and press Enter. 3. Type ipconfig /registerdns and press Enter. 4. Type ipconfig /release and press Enter. 5. Type ipconfig /renew and press Enter. 6. Type netsh winsock reset and press Enter. 7. Reboot your computer..

Properties > Compatibility > check Run this program as an administrator

Close all background apps except EA App/Origin

Setting "Ealauncher" in C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\EA Desktop\EA Desktop or where you have the EA desktop to Administrator authentication in compatibility.

  • Similar issue here, spent three different sessions with tech support yesterday.  Constant messages of "don't worry" and "this will fix it, but you have to try again in two hours after its synchronised"........was a fob off, still wont launch.

    I am having issues since I was forced on to the EA APP. everything was fine on Origin but since moving to the EA APP Generals fails to launch.

    It will install no problem but when I click play it says "Hold up, this game needs permissions.  This game requires administrative privileges.  Do you want to grant access and launch game?"

    When I click OK the EA APP minimises and then after about 5 seconds re-appears.  I never get access to the Generals launcher, where you choose between Generals and Generals Zero Hour

    The Generals launcher, where you choose which version, is set to Admn mode as are both games but nothing loads, even when I launch from the Generals .exe files, when I do that it launches EA APP and I am back in the loop.  Also launching the EA App with admin rights.

    Any ideas?  I haven't been able to play Generals since early march and the only change is Origin to EA APP. 

  • It seems this problem has been persistent ever since the EA app came about & they show no inclination to solve the issue.

  • @mingchiek Wait, for me the game just launches when you press "yes" when that "admin privileges screen" appears. It thus doesn't for you all? What happens for you when you click on "Yes"? That message is just a silly thing since the EA App launched.

    So, what is actually the exact issue you are encountering? How exactly is the game not launching for you and with what symptoms and what games? Are you sure you aren't actually talking about the EA App itself not launching at all?

    Regarding what you all tried or were advised:
    -Hardly think DNS flushing is gonna help; the CnC games themselves are not dependent on an internet connection, although the EA App is, but then still hardly think it will help.
