command and conquer games

Hi,

  I am a big fan of all the command and conquer games but I am limited to what I have played. What I want to know is, is there a command and conquer that is similar to the tiberium sun game play, that a friend of mine and I can co-op campaigns together? I like tiberium alliances but you have to deal with bone heads attacking you and that is not my style. I just want to play the game missions and beat the game. I like Tiberium sun but do not believe that my friend and I can co-op the game. I know we can play online skirmishes against one another but that would just put us back to tiberium alliances. Anyone got any suggestions? I live in NY, he lives in Ohio so we would both need to purchase the game if it is a possibility.
