@eyorrs
After spending 2 - 3 days on and off (and most of today) i got the game running on Windows 10 x64.
After playing around with the driver, and it signature, enabling / disabling signature enforcement, i had the thought that the secdrv driver is actually related to the secure rom which is used to validate the disk and lock the game down (don't know how accurate that statement is.)
Anyway, it occured to me that if that was the case, the game might work with a no-cd patch, and indeed it does. And it plays very well. The no-cd patch is not something i would normally use, but in this case it seems like it is the only way to make the game work.
Recap:
- Clean install of Windows 10
- Clean install of C&C Generals (non-origin install, original CD)
- Install Zero Hour
- Updated to latest patch
- Used no-cd patch to bypass the secdrv driver error
- Game works!
Let me know if this works (or doesn't) for anyone else, or if you have other solutions.

I could kiss you.
Been trying to get back to playing Zero Hour since I installed Windows 10 and its been ridiculously frustrating, especially as no error message appears.
Just went and got a no-cd patch and my problem was instantly solved.
THANK YOU SO MUCH for helping me sort it out!!
Peace x

Could you provide the link to the no-cd patch you used?

ok i have tried everything listed in this thread, all compatibility modes, the no cd patch, run as admin, none of it works for me. can anyone confirm that paying for the game again through origin and getting the downloaded version will fix the problem (also the code on the original packaging can NOT be added to your origin acount to get your game working as previously claimed in here. tried that too. i like this game enough im willing to buy it AGAIN if i know it will work, im not buying a game i already paid for to see if it might work. very frustrated with ea & origin at the mome3nt

ok i got mine working, hope this helps others. my fix was a combination of previous ideas with 1 twist.
step one: i repurchased the entire command and conquer games series through Origin to get around the no disc problem
step two: i went into the options file in both the command and conquer generals and zero hour folders and edited the resolution value to 1920 1080 and saved them
step three: dont mess with resolution value in game under options or you will have to repeat step 2 to be able to play again
fix should work on any game in the series where the stock video option was showing invalid option and has an options file under documents. 3 days worth of headache......kind of surprised ea didnt do this as a patch

I also tried running Generals ZH on Win 10, and it does nothing. I also own ALL of the C&C games, love them, and have been playing them. The ONLY ones that work for me is 3 (Kane's Wrath), and 4. Wish MSN would think about things like this instead of just looking at the money they make off of people, and FORCE companies like this one to make new games that come out then are not compatible with newer OS'. Hope there can be a fix for this problem rather soon cause I am really frustrated. Oh I also have trouble registering my games, and getting them into Origin, as it does not accept my CD Keys for registering through the automated system from launching the game, and/or from the website. Keeps giving me the not correct Key Code error. *sigh*

Where can I get the no cd patch???

Where did you find the patch that didn't have a virus?
I am working on the same issue as you.
I followed your steps minus the patch.
Everywhere I have tried has had a virus attached to it.
