^^^^^ This solved the problem for me on a Windows 7 Ultimate x64 machine ^^^^^
There were 2x copies "dbghelp.dll" in my Zero Hour folder, nuking both fixed it.
God help anyone that uses EA chat help....
So it is now late 2017. This is still an issue. Can you maybe have the team actually work on this? Thanks that would be swell.

I know this is late. I also have had this issue recently (just started to play this again). The way I got this error is that I played it on a hight resolution screen and the next time on a lower resolution screen. I checked in the options.ini file (under documents/CNC zero hour data/ )for the resolution. It was larger than my screen res. I changed it to 800 600 (remember is 4:3, not wide screen) and then launched it again and it worked. In my case the game didn't redetect when you change to a different screen size.

I had changed my GPU. and the game started giving this error. I changed the resolution settings in the options.ini file. the file was located in the documents/C&C/zero hour folder.
