DirectX Error

I've been playing C&C Zero Hours fine on my Win 10 PC, but just now when I tried launching it, I couldn't get anywhere after choosing 'Zero Hours' with the following error: "Please make sure you have DirectX 8.1 or higher installed. Also verify that your video card meets the minimum requirements. I tried installing DirectX just then, but doesn't seem to work. Does anyone know how to get around it? Now that I think about it, there was an update to the Window that was installed in the computer recently.

    So now that all the suggested solutions to this issue have been tried, I have still not resolved the problem.

    Cannot find any way to ask the Vendor of the game how to resolve this.

    Very dissapointing! After all these years with the same issue reported by so many, it is expected the game works...

    @triumph888 But you didn't answer my questions; there is much more to try. I can't help if you ignore my questions and just say that you've tried everything, while that isn't true 🙂

    EA support isn't specialized in these old CNC-games, so it is likely that they can't solve your issues. We guys are from the community, so could you please not complain about EA anymore (as we are not EA and EA-employees don't read this) and just work with me to really solve your issue? 🙂

    Good Morning, I'm new to this comment string (I just purchased the game Command & Conqure this weekend), but I'm having the same problem ... I'm running on a windows 7 system and I have downloaded the DirectX9 file as stated in a previous comment - installed it and I'm still getting the DirectX error message. I'm open for any help I can get ... Thank you

    @majgorman With which of the CNC-games do you get this error and which CNC-games work as normal? Did you also try to remove dbghelp.dll from the installation directory? Also make sure to update your graphics drivers and run the game with your dedicated graphics card from either NVidia or AMD (and not crappy integrated graphics). Did any of that work for you?

    hey iam running windows 10 and i encouter the problems with cnc zero hour. I tried all the fixes but it is still not working plz help!
