Generals ZH not working with new GPU?

This could be because you're missing older directX components, actually. I know the latest stuff doesn't always include the older parts these games need.

• Download the DirectX Redistributables package from June 2010. Be sure to uncheck any other junk they want to add to it. It should be a file called "directx_Jun2010_redist.exe".
• Run the downloaded file. It'll ask for a folder to unpack in. Make a new folder somewhere on your disk and unpack it there. It doesn't matter where you unpack it; it can be deleted afterwards anyway.
• Go to the folder where you told it to extract.
• Find "DXSETUP.exe", and run that to install the missing components.
• After the installation finished, delete the folder you unpacked everything in.

I followed all your steps, but I'm still getting the same warning message. I then tried with the 2006 version (I'm running on First Decade, not the Ultimate Collection) but am still having no luck

@fimeilleur Did you try fiddling with the compatibility mode on the game's exe file? That could help, too.

@Nyerguds Tried that, also found a version of DirectX in the game's files, says that version (didn't say which) was not compatible with Windows 10
