How do I edit an existing custom map in Red Alert Remastered?

Hi all,

I'm wanting to know how to edit the terrain of an existing custom map in Red Alert Remastered.

The original RA1 map editor is pretty user friendly. The moment it loads you're asked if you want to create a new map or edit an existing one, and a list appears of all available in game maps which the user can then go in and edit as they wish.

However, when I load the Remastered version of map editor it's an entirely different beast. I cannot see a list of maps to edit, so I'm not sure where to start, or navigate to, in order to achieve the above outcome.

If someone is familiar with the Remastered map editor I'd greatly appreciate it if I could be pointed to where I can access one of the custom maps from the Remastered tutorial (i.e., Europe or World Map) for terrain editing.

Thanks in advance

  • @Mabus2016 Uh, custom maps are .mpr files. You can just go to File -> Open and select the file, just like in any other program, no?
