In this battle, my opponent uses their commander ability extremely often, with very little breaks in-between. I thought there is a cooldown timer which prevents you from doing just that, so that you cannot spam your commander ability?
What is going on here? 🤔

I asked some people on Discord and they say that it is not cheating. Still seems strange to me that you can use a commander ability almost non-stop. I will file a bug report about it, since I believe this to be a bug in the game design then.
It seems that he is exploiting the drone and ensures that its always on the battlefield. I would suggest a nerf on where it either dies earlier or has a longer recharge period.
Shoot it down and it will stop. Should take no more than 2 shots.

If a drone is placed and it is not attacked, it will last so long that once it finally dies, the ability is ready again. The cooldown is rather short.

The drone will almost always be behind enemy units if your opponent is clever. So actually getting to it can be difficult, since even ground units can block the way of air units and vice versa. Most units need to be standing to shoot (unless they have raider capability), but two units cannot stand in the same hex field, even if one is a ground unit and the other is an air unit. That really is a design error in my opinion.

It can be logically concluded that this makes no sense.
Premise:
Two units from opposing armies cannot be in the same field at the same time.
Observation:
When one of the units is an air unit, and the other is a ground unit, one can move over the other or the other can walk/drive under the other just fine. For a moment, they ARE in the very same hex field.
The observation is in direct contradiction to the premise. There. You're welcome.

See now I think the Jackson/what's her name ability seems way too quick succession sometimes. I never play with them though so I'm just speculating.
