I concur. At a certain point, you just can't progress any further in the game. If you're lucky, you might get a win, but I lose about 5 times (no joke) for every win I make. And I slide further and further down levels... this discourages me from playing the game. I don't mind losing so much, it's losing my medals and not gaining any credits that bothers me. I feel like I've not only wasted my time but hurt myself for doing so.
Please devs, if you look at this forum there have been several points where this has been brought up. Our concern shows how much we want this game to succeed and be fun. We all had a ton of fun before we got stuck losing medals. Please change this?
Hi guys,
Thank you for all of your feedback so far. Medals are linked to how well you do in battle - when you win, you earn medals; when you are defeated, you lose medals. If players were unable to lose medals, the medal count would continuously increase and be inflated, so wouldn't be as accurate as a gain/loss system.
However, we also understand your frustration that losing medals negatively affects your ability to unlock new units or causes you to decrease player level or fall back to lower sectors. We are looking at ways to change that, so that players can continue to progress in the game but the medal count is still meaningful.

While I appreciate the reply, it had absolutely no substance.
You guys just repeated our concerns to us and turn around and state a lame justification. I get the need to control medal inflation, but the overwhelming feedback is that you're far too aggressive with it. I don't think anyone is suggesting unlimited power (e.g. Mobile Strike) but there has to be an incentive to play. This thread is full of people who are grinding their way through this and have grown weary of making no progress. The overarching feeling that we all have is that this is being geared as a P2W game - which, given the recent history of EA, you guys clearly don't get your audience.
I keep playing hoping that something will change. I have a feeling that at launch I'll be walking away given the way EA has consistently responded to the userbase.

It's also true that at some point medals do have to balance out or you'll have constant inflation. That may not seem like a big deal, but it is. It means that five years from now, top medals holders would have a virtually uncatchable lead for new players with no chance of new players making it in. The medal count is not the issue, progression is. However, right now medal count is tied to progression in such a way that makes the medal count an issue as well. But there are other solutions. Hopefully they'll implement some soon.

I think the issue at hand is encouragement/discouragement. As it stands, the game punishes you too harshly for losing. We feel discouraged from playing because we risk losing all our progress and much more. However you want to fix the problem, it should be thought of as a matter of encouraging players to play more even when they lose. I would suggest:
1. Give players a small credit reward for losing.
2. Keep the half-fuel can, that's already a good feature.
3. Have the player lose no medals, or lose only half the number of medals that you'd gain for winning. That would go a long way towards softening the loss.
4. Finally - and this is not my idea, it's been suggested by others, and it's a really good one - offer cards as an additional reward for winning. Say, two or three commons for a win, with small chance of rare, and only one common for losing.
It just hurts and it's no fun to log in day after day and just slide down and down levels. As the players, we know what we want. Thanks for listening.
