My suggestion to make this game faithful to Command-and-Conquer
This is my suggestion to make this game more Command-and-Conquer-ish in terms of feel and franchise tradition.
- When your base gets destroyed from direct attacks, missiles. Make the units self-destruct, because it's a tradition of the franchise.
- When surrendering, it doesn't make sense that i hear "Our base has been destroyed" while my base is at full health, make the base and the units to self-destruct when surrendering, it's already a tradition in Command-and-Conquer.
- Add more soundbytes when building a structure, and it needs to be "New construction options", "Construction Complete" these two lines have been stuck to CnC veterans, it's weird that how did developers miss that infamous line but gets to implement "Establishing Battlefield control" instead.
- Add a soundbyte when you're lacking tiberium to deploy units "Insufficient funds" but just once so it won't get annoying. I know it's already added when you don't have enough credit to upgrade units. But it would be great to have that soundbyte when you're lacking tiberium.
- Add a soundbyte when you're trying to deploy units while it's still charging "Unable to comply" and "Building in Progress" do it just once so it won't be annoying.
- Add the ability to FORCE FIRE on friendly units, i would like to have my flame tank burn my rockworm so the flames can reach enemy missile squad from 2 tiles away. It's also a tradition in Command and Conquer, you can force-fire it by having the unit already selected, and then tap-hold your intended target to force-fire. Or maybe i can have my titan shoot at the ground so it's piercing ability can reach a pitbull from two tiles away (this one may be overpowered, first option is what i want)
- As a faithful Nod follower, i find the menu very offensive that i must hear GDI's EVA voice all the time everytime i navigate around the screen! I want the voice of CABAL! Nod needs CABAL! (Just add Nod theme to menu, just the soundbyte is enough)
- AI matches or skirmish as i call it, is too easy and not worth for practice.
- Scorpion is missing the soundbyte when under attack by its counter, it's silent when i tap on it. (Not when ordering to attack wrong target, but when UNDER attack by a wrong target)
- Add a soundbyte when the harvester is under attack and gets destroyed "Warning, our harvester is under attack", "Harvester under attack", and then "Harvester lost" when you lost a harvester. Just like when the base is under attack but its the harvester instead.
- Add EVA soundbyte "Nuclear warhead approaching" when the missile launches. It's a reference to the first game.
- Is it possible to create a skin that alters unit geometry? not just reskinning it? If yes, we can have a sandstorm with the model of Hover MLRS, but this is unnecessary though.
- Add a soundbyte "Tiberium field depleted" when the tiberium deposits have been depleted (Only plays when harvesters can no longer find any tiberium field to harvester)
- Is there a possibility to have an event based on Commando missions?
- CHANGE DIAMONDS TO SOMETHING ELSE!!! Maybe it could be red tiberium, or tacitus shard... up to you. something that is related to command-and-conquer
- There is a glitch when squad based units lost one or more of its member, it plays the wrong soundbyte when tapped on it when idle, it plays the under attack response instead of idle response.
This is an aesthetics suggestion, no effects on gameplay, but this would make it true to command-and-conquer franchise.
I don't expect all of these to be added at once, but slowly... but i would prioritize 1,2,3,9,10,11,16
