Why? You still win the game. It does not make a difference for you if they disconnect or not.
The real problem is this:
The game does not offer the possibility to surrender, which really is a bug. Every other RTS game in the world has this option. So until the developers fix this bug, disconnecting is the only way to give up. And when you have no chance of winning, then giving up is the only sensible option left.
They do this so as not to accrue a loss and medals and continue their win streak to gain more points and medals. That's cheating. The rest of us have actual win-loss records while these cowards perpetrate frauds.
This is still counted as a loss for the player who gives up. Not sure what gives you the idea that it would count otherwise. Do you have any proof for this claim?
Disconnect doesn't change win or loss. Tho a disconnected player's troops are on autopilot mode but if you can't clear them off the pad you can still lose.
Well, okay, you still need to win the battle. With an opponent who is not doing anything anymore, especially not producing any new units, this should be extremely easy to do.
It's like a free throw in Basketball. If you don't score, it's your own fault.
- BattaIia7 years agoSeasoned AceOkay, urban myth here, so time to break out the mythbusting gloves!
Myth:
If I DC from a game, and check my played game history later, it doesn't show up, so it doesn't count against me!
Truth:
The game still results in a loss once your opponent beats you in the game you abandoned. However, your app doesn't know to check for this data, so it never populates the game in your history. However, if you close the app and open a fresh one AFTER the game has ended, the app will load the proper history including any games you abandoned and lost. All streaks are broken correctly after the loss, and DC'ing from a game will not preserve any win streaks.
TL;DR:
There is no benefit from disconnecting from a game.

And there is punishment, no fuel ☹️
So play to the end 🙂

The only problem that exists here is that there is no proper built-in option to give up. THAT is what should be fixed.
