Origin Client - Command and Conquer - launch issue

Hi All,

I bought the collection for Command and Conquer on Origin, and was working perfectly except Red Alert 2 and Yuri’s revenge - worked but cannot play it as it is so slow inside the game play. this is my first question, if one of these games works very slow (supper slow) in the game play and ok in the menu, is there a way to fix it?
anyway,
after a long while, on the same PC, i tried to launch one of those amazing games, and for example, Zero Hour starting, menu is ok, then automatically sending me out of the game, then i still see it in the windows tool bar, i go again on it, and after 20 seconds again sent me out of the game and etc. basically cannot play any of those games as they all have the same issue now.

can anyone advise of what to do>? and why this happened? as i used the same PC previously and were working fine (except the Red Alert 2).

Thanks in advance.

best regards.

A lot of the games have been upgraded with community-created unofficial patches that fix a lot of their bugs and compatibility problems. You can find them here:

    Command & Conquer 1:

    Red Alert 1:

    Tiberian Sun:

    Red Alert 2:

    • I advise installing the CnCNet online play installer for RA2/YR. Even if you're not interested in online play, it comes with a bunch of automatic fixes. It should automatically take care of the "black screen" issue, and has a configuration tool that allows further tweaking of the game's settings.

    Generals:

    • GenTool seems to be the main patch for Generals these days. The website is kind of vague on what it does besides restoring multiplayer and adding anti-cheat, but I heard it does a lot to make it work better on modern OSes too.
    • If you have issues with DirectX errors popping up, find and delete the file "dbghelp.dll" in the game's install folder.

  • Additionally,

i tried to change the settings by ticking the box form thje control panel for:  Beta: Use Unucide UTF-8 for worldwide language support. didnt work :S.

also tried to reduce the color mode, same didnt work.

all these steps didnt need to change them previously and all was working fine :S.

thank you again and will be waiting for your kind support.

    Best regards.

    THank you for your support,

i have tried the ones for Generals Zero Hour and Red Alert 2/Yuri

it seems for Generals now it is working without pushing me out of the game however, regarding Red Alert 2, it seems to have the same issue as before, it kicks me out during the game like 30 seconds after starting an offline skirmish. i really have no idea why it is doing that.

if still there is a way to fix this, i would really appreciate it.

    thank you again
