origin update

Since the latest Origin update I am unable to play Command and Comquer Generals Zero Hour. I go to the game library select Generals and Zero Hour, then I get a choice to play either Generals or Zero Hour, if I click on Zero Hour the screen goes black as if its about to start loading the game then it just goes back to the desktop which is then darker than usual. When I end task on Generals.exe the screen brightness then returns to normal. The same thing happens if I navigate to Generals.exe and double click it. Origin is Version 10.5.63.37653 - 758549 on Windows 10 Home version 1903 OS Build 18362.592. This has only happened since the latest Origin update.
