"please use original disc not backup" error

Hi,

I have had C&C Tiberium Wars for a while now and have used it in previous machines without a problem, I recently got a newer machine and decided to install the game, It worked great for about 4 hours of gameplay.

This afternoon however overtime I try to play it an error message continually comes up asking for me to use the original disc not a backup........I only have the original disc. I thought that the update may rectify this, however no success.

Even if I try to run the game from the start up menu, after puting the disc into the drive I still get the same error.

I have no virtual drives at all and never had, I currently run an

i7 2600

gtx 560 graphics card

128gb ssd

16gb ram
