Re: Giving results as if I lost when I win the match.

Hey @aaronkowal thank you for posting and providing your Persona ID. I've had a look at the logs for your account and it seems your match went out of sync, likely due to both of you disconnecting briefly. ☹️ If this happens more frequently I recommend switching network connection if possible, such as from WiFi to cellular data. WiFi can be vulnerable to interruptions on the network so you may find cellular data more stable and can improve your gameplay. Hope this helps! 🙂

    @EA_Grasshopper,

    Thank you for your time in responding. I just have a few questions/points to address on this.

    Why would this be a bug only showing up now, after a few months of no issue? I don’t mean to argue (realizing just now how disingenuous that statement is...), but the fact that this is a new problem, which manifested itself twice in two days after two months of never happening, practically screams ‘bug!’ Also, if this is an issue which you are aware of, that means that it is a bug affecting others as well, and might just be something EA should fix. 

    Considering the nature of Rivals, as a mobile app, network connectivity and cellular connection are hardly going to be a constant. For instance, I regularly play this game in as many different locations and on as many different networks/connections as I have fingers. If this new bug is anywhere near prevalent (hit me at about a five to ten percent rate yesterday and today, so I guess so), I can’t be the only one who is frustrated with this.

    If I had to make a guess, this bug is fixable. Okay, so really, there’s no guess about it. The team should be able to easily address such a simple issue. If not, perhaps EA needs new programmers.

    Finally, as a paying customer, I respectfully expect better than this.

    I just wanted to mention a few more things that I left out of the last post.

    First off, I do want to let you guys know that I love this game, and sincerely appreciate all the effort you guys put in on it. It is like no other, and fills a void of good mobile RTS games. My criticism is meant in the spirit of making the game even better.

    Second, I have taken a brief look and apparently others are experiencing the same issue I have. See, for instance, the linked Reddit posted below. As far as I can tell, it seems that this issue has only been experienced (or, at least, widely complained about,) recently, making it very likely to have been a bug inadvertently introduced in one of the latest patches.

    Lastly, thank you again ever so much for your time in addressing this issue. I look forward to enjoying this game for a long time to come.

    Hey @aaronkowal thanks for following up. This issue of the match going out of sync is likely related to the latest patch and the team is aware. It should be addressed in the next update, however gremlins like this do appear so please let me know if this continues to happen after the next update. This is something we are closely monitoring. It still applies that playing on cellular data is more stable and likely reduces the chance of this happening again. Hope you can bear with us while we sort this out! 🙂
