Aw, come on. This is C&C. You're not playing it right unless you have the words "mission failed" burned into your retinas :D
That said, with some practice and general hints (build multiple refineries!) these games aren't that hard. I can finish a C&C1 campaign in a couple of hours without really trying. The hardest missions are usually the tactical ones without base building involved, but in my opinion, those are also the most fun ones.

@NyergudsI think we have kinda different ideas about video games XD I hate hard games and give up very easily (this why I never finished Dragon Age Origins) and play every game beside FIFA in the easiest mode possible, I just can hope that C&C 4 isn't hard, same about Rivels

Eh, I was actually joking there; the "mission failed burned into your retinas" line comes from a guide on beating the Covert Operations, the (really hard) expansion missions in C&C1's "New Missions" menu. I think the normal campaigns have about one or two missions per side which I think are really hard, usually because you have some contrived start situation in the mission before you can get a base. Mostly they are meant to build up your unit micromanagement skills, which, to be fair, are good skills to build up in an RTS.
But, since you have mission choices in C&C1, it's always advised to just save at the end of a mission, so that, if you somehow pick a really hard mission in the next map choices, you can always go back and see if there aren't any more forgiving choices. The Nod campaign especially has a few that even I generally prefer to avoid, unless I'm specifically looking for a challenge.
(Side note: if you installed the unofficial 1.06 patch for C&C1 I made, not all missions in the New Missions menu are super-hard, since I added the exclusive bonus missions from the Playstation and N64 versions of the game in there. Especially the N64 ones were quite dumbed down, because an N64 controller isn't really a handy tool for unit micromanagement 😉 )
C&C4 is... kind of dumb. Personally, I stopped playing through the campaign a few missions into it, because of the unrewarding XP system. See, normally, tech in a campaign should just unlock depending on the mission progress, and be adapted to what you need in the current mission. This is not true in C&C4. They instead made it linked to gaining XP in both single play and multiplay, and, as some contrived way to encourage multiplay, playing through the campaign missions isn't actually sufficient to get enough XP there to beat the missions.
Since I don't really do multiplayer in general, this basically meant I had to replay missions multiple times just to get a somewhat decent tech level that would allow me to beat the next mission. I just stopped playing at that point and looked at the videos on youtube, because that's just completely dumb.
Even worse, especially for a game with an always-online requirement as DRM: I later found out that this XP isn't even stored in the cloud, but in a text file on your disk.
And then of course there's the fact that the game itself is basically nothing but a reverse tug-of-war between two factories that pour out a line of (completely free) units towards each other, with a constant battle in the middle which shifts until it reaches one of the two factories and manages to destroy it. I honestly don't see the point.

@NyergudsThanks for saying that, since 4 multiplayer is pretty much empty, so even tho I like Multiplayer as well, I won't be able to get the XP I need (I wish I had that game back in 2010 since it's seem better for someone like me, that like both Single Player and Multiplayer) but are the missions in 4 hard? is it harder or easier then 1? I remember how I gave up on older games like Dragon Age Origins and Dungeon Keeper since it was too frustrating for me, I'm a Casual gamer and play mostly for fun and not for challenge, so maybe Rivals will be the best for me (I haven't seen any mobile game that was that hard for me so far), still want to play at l want to play at least one of the PC games, so if C&C 4 missions are much easier then the older games I wouldn't mind repeating, I know it might not anyone fav game but what make a game good for me is if I have fun playing it and not end up frustrated about doing a battle that I can't do (Origins final boss battle) so I kinda scared to start an old video game (as I said before, Rollercoaster Tycoon is my only old game that I like) and 2010 look modern enough for me to be more easy, can you tell me who hard for you was C&C 4 missions in compare to others?
By the way I'm sorry if my preferences insult you or anything, I'm not actually RTS fan, I just play what come to my hands, and non of the modern games in any genre was too hard for me, Dragon Age Inquisition was much more enjoyable for me then Origins, same about Need for Speed Payback and Mass Effect Andromeda in compere to the older in the series (I can't bring myself to a cop chase in Most Wanted 2005, in Payback I love the chases), but I don't think anything bad about older games, I just think they not for me

Ahh, it's all okay, you don't have to apologize for your preferences.
As for how hard C&C4 is... I honestly can't tell. To me it was just boring and frustrating. Normally a mission equips you with the stuff you need to beat it, but C&C4 does no such thing, so the difficulty level is pretty much based on how much XP grinding you did in advance. That lack of set challenge was one of the things that made it tedious to me; you never know if the mission is just hard, or if it's simply impossible at your current level because you can't build units that are powerful enough to beat the given enemy.

@Nyerguds Ok, how about 3? it's only a year before 4 so it's not that far behind, is it hard?

Not really... though the campaign has some bugs in it due to the fact they didn't separate single play and multiplay balancing... and that does make things a bit harder sometimes.
Maybe I should release the N64 version of the C&C1 campaign as "easy mode" pack... there were a lot of tweaks in there that made the game less hard.
