The amount of medals that you win or lose depends on your medal count and the medal count of your opponent. If you have a higher medal count, you will earn less medals for a win and lose more medals for a loss. If your medal count is lower than your opponent, you will win more medals on a victory and lose less medals on a defeat.
If that were the case, I’d gain more than 15-18 on a challenge battle. Also, why are most of these guys much higher levels of troops and I’m losing larger amounts. I understand what you said, but it’s whacked out and the opponents and medals aren’t adding up.
EA Staff (Retired)Challenge battles can be for a higher ranked opponent (e.g. higher medal count), but it can also be for higher level units or units that haven't been unlocked yet. For those last two, it's possible that you have more medals or a similar medal count as your opponent. Players with similar medal counts will earn or lose ~17 medals, so gaining 15-18 medals usually means that your medal count is close or you have slightly more.
I’m losing 25 medals on some of my losses. How’s that adding up, if I never receive more than 18?
That's not fair. This guy average unit lv is higher than me so he's easy to win and win more if win while I'm harder to win but lose a lot if I lose. The profit-risk rate is just not balanced.
