Re: Sandstorm vs. Jump Jet Trooper
jump jet troopers have VERY high anti-vehicle damange, VERY high movement speed and the ability to traverse impassible terrain, and VERY low HP.
Sandstorm has high HP, high rate of fire, and low damage to infantry. This means that the sandstorm tends not to "overkill" a jump jet trooper like a titan would, losing all the extra damage. Instead the next missiles hit the next squad member etc.
Also jump jet troopers lose DPS as they lose squad members. So ultimatly, you sent a 50 tib unit to go kill a 120 tib unit, and while the matchup wasn't terribly against you, it was not meant to be in a 1v1 scenario. If you wanna kill a sandstorm, 2 predator tanks will do. Sandstorm only does moderate vehicle damage.
If you MUST send a jump jet trooper to counter a sand storm, send 2 of them, and send them to attack opposite corners of the sandstorm. This will prevent it from attacking both squads at once and you should win.
Jump jet troopers typically don't fare well against any other tech units other than titan's and rock worms, and even then, you are still better off using multiple squads rather than a 1v1.
