Red Alert 2 Black Screen with audio

Question

I'm still an active player of Red Alert 2 and it worked perfect on my laptop which was Windows 8.1. However, I recently accepted Microsoft's offer and upgraded my laptop to Windows 10. When i open up Red Alert 2 now in Windows 10, all I get is a black screen but i could still hear the audio.&nbsp; How do I make it work properly again. I also dont want to downgrade back to Windows 8.1.

There are a few things you can do to help RA2 to run better:

Make sure to disable Origin In Game overlay in the Origin settings for the game
Tweaking certain compatibility modes&nbsp;can help a lot
Install&nbsp;Bibber's fixed game launchers
Some people have reported this tutorial&nbsp;fixing issues with the menus not appearing
This is another excellent video tutorial. I strongly advice watching this one; it cover a very wide array of problems in the game's settings, the user rights, and even Windows system settings that may cause problems.

These last two probably contain some solution for your black screen issue. In fact, I think just the "VideoBackBuffer=no" thing at 2:50 in that last video might be enough to fix it
