Here is what I did:
1) Right click on desktop, open NVIDIA Control Panel (https://imgur.com/eZo16dT)
2) Go to the Manage 3D Settings section, select "High-performance NVIDIA processor" (https://imgur.com/dbvnI9Y)
3) Play with the menu bar visible 🙂

Question on this ... if you you right click on desktop and do not see NVIDIA control panel than does that mean I need to upgrade my graphics card?
I am attempting this on windows 10, but I run my windows through parallels 11. Not sure if that matters or not.
- @Killmonkey6 That's my thinking, too. I think we all might just have an older graphics card.
I have same issue running on parallel 14.
It has been fixed after upgrade to parallel 15 which support Direct X 11
