Starting C&C Renegade from Origin launches another game game

I have the C&C ultimate collection. When installing from disc C&C Renegade works. When I install and launch it from Origin it starts the Longest Journey which is also on my PC, but is not in Origin! ...

I know this is an old topic now, but I had the same problem. As far as I can tell, Windows was prioritizing the wrong game.exe, in this case the one in The Longest Journey's folder. Renaming that made Renegade work. Not exactly a permanent solution, but at least I can now play the game I wanted to.

Hope this helps anyone else who comes across this problem.
