Flamers and Shock deal with it. Though no one plays them these days.
However, I tend to agree that on some maps it can block your units way too effectively for 40 Tiberium. On top of that it lasts quite long, so you just have to wait for it to expire.- EinarThePillager7 years agoSeasoned Ace
A tank might do if the turret is quite close to it (its more of the turret is not effective against it scenario). A shot from one reduces the HP very much, like it would only have 1/3 of its life left. Normally MG nests are used to take care of missile/laser squads and air units.

Not true. I do see them quite a bit (Master League 2 currently).
- Well, surely not as much as rifles/militants. At least that has been my experience.
Then I assume you use strong arm and win all the time because of it?
They all have advantages and on some maps are very strong. The ion cannon timed right sways whole games easily but I don't think it's op.
There's only so many squares/hexagons the turret can be used so you can tile block it at critical moments.
I wouldn’t say it’s op if I played it myself cause it doesn’t work on many maps. But when it works, it’s op. Turret up, no way in, missile bye bye. Master league map Half and Half and Down the Middle.
