Why won't C&C Generals Zero hour launch in widescreen?

Question

I just got the C&amp;C collection with the EA app and the game won't launch in wide-screen. I don't have an over-sized screen or anything. And I can't seem to find any display settings for the EA app to change this.

@obsidian_jac  Does it not launch at all, or is the game simply not widescreen? It's not very clear from your explanation.

@obsidian_jac Download and install GenTool. Then go into the game options, and in the top left part of the screen click on Resolution. Then scroll all the way down (yes, all the way down). You should eventually see the resolution pop up that matches your display.
