Mercer and the other NPC are invisible during the cutscene and they also make no sound, instead we can only see and hear Isaac talking to no one. This also means the Hunter doesn't spam after the cutscene.
Since no one complained about this before i guess this is a bug brought by the new patch on Steam?

This is what's happening to me. In the cutscene I watched on YouTube that won't trigger for me, the hunter smashes the glass and you can go into the room. So because it doesn't trigger I can't get into the room to progress there's a guy frozen still at the other side in a jumping jack position. I've looked everywhere else for another way through but can't find it. So annoying it was my first time playing dead space too.
