Chapter 11 Series X - Game crashing when going back to crew quarters

After defeating the enemy in chapter 10 with the engines of the shuttle and being dragged through the ship.

I decided to go back to crew quarters at the start of chapter 11. However, upon exiting the elevator in the crew quarters (floor 1- Central Nexus) The game almost immediately freezes and crashes.

This crashing prevents access to anything in that area (in particular the room for the fragments), and persists through all of chapter 11. Froze 8 times before I decided to just continue the main story.

XB Series X - Installed on system - Performance Mode - Ng+1 

Tried hard reset and reinstall, neither worked.

 

Kind of specific, but has anyone else had this issue?

    My game constantly crashes so i havent been able to get very far.. When I called EA they said they're aware of it. I'm also on Xbox Series X.

    Thanks. Well if they're aware of it then I guess we just wait.

    I think it might have something to do with the way bodies,body parts,items,etc. persist and pop in out in certain areas and memory. Just by moving bodies around on floor 2 to the tram you can see them glitching and popping in an out of existence sometimes causing performance drops.

    Yeah, same. Tried back tracking to that area because I missed the last flame thrower upgrade. As soon as I get off the elevator on "Level 3" and walk through the door labeled "Central Nexus" the game freezes then crashes on my Xbox Series X 🤷 Oh well, I'll just have to grab it on New Game +. Definitely bummed about it though.

    @EA_Illium Yes. Specifically the doorway leading from the elevator to central nexus if you go back during chapter 11 (The area where the Mercer/Temple cutscene plays in Chapter 10).

    I did go back in the next ng+ cycle since fragments carry over, but that's kind of a long workaround.
