Chapter 7 glitch: death being unharmed

So I am trying to get sos beacon. I stepped off the platform, saw Nicole, then monsters came (just before the room where the beacon must be).

I killed all the necromorphs, got no damage, but after the game keeps restarting from the latest check point as if I got killed ☹️
