hi i am runninng Win 7 on ASus N53SN, with GEforce gt550m with 2GB DDR3 VRAM, Intel® Core™ i5 2410M 2.3gh , 4GB Ram... I installed dead space from a purchase of EA value games edition. install appears to have gone well and i have re installed multiple times using administrator rights and emulating vista and xp. also in Origin i redeemed the product and have it in my library. No matter what emulation, video card settings and rights i use to run the game it always tries to load for about 15 secs then just gives up. When i tried in 600X800 forced mode the screen would go black for a second and windows delivered a log to microsoft. Please help. i had the game originally on ipod but it hung after a certain level and i have been wanting to play ever since.

Heya everyone, if you were affected by the "Invalid license. Reason code = Invalid Cipher (0x0006)" issue, can you please check the game in Origin again? A small patch should download and gameplay should now work again. If there are still issues afterwards, please uninstall the game completely, redownload it and then reinstall the game again. Hi rowsmith.

Just as something to try, remove all USB devices from your machine (except keyboard and mouse if you use a desktop, of course), and then try to start up.

It may also help to delete your settings file. This can be found at c:\Users\My Name\AppData\Local\Electronic Arts\settings.txt, and it should be recreated when you start the game.

As ever, double check that you have the latest drivers installed on your machine.

One other thing, is that I've seen cases where a Jumi controller will conflict with the game. If you have one, try disabling it and seeing if you're able to get in then.

Hi, I just bought the game like yersterday and it doesn't work anymore. I opened it (once) this morning and I managed to get in-game but I got the v-sync problem with laggy mouse. So I closed it, went out and later, try to open it again and my computer just have no reaction. I bought it on Origin, I have Win 7 64 bit Intel 2 quad CPU and an ATI radeon hd 5670. Need help please!

Ok it works but now I got another problem. The mouse cursor from windows appear throughout all the game. The only solution I found out was to open Dead Space not using Origin. Is there a solution for that?

You have to go in the Origin parameters and disable Origin in game.

Ok now the game has the same first problem: it wont start. But I managed to.play like for one hour without problem!

If you restart your computer, is the game running correctly? If so, there might be a background app which is causing this problem.

Not sure, but I deactivate my firewall (Bitdefender) and theamgMe launched. Gonna see if it sorks again later
