Hey guys!
Issues like this could be related to the GPU, even if it's sounds weird.
Did someone of you tried a workaround already?
As some of you done that already, if you suffer from this issue, please post your system specs. That will help us to rectify and investigate this issue.
Please get sure that you have installed the latest update for your graphic card drivers. It could help to de-install your catalyst/nvidia control panel first and make a clear new installation of your driver. Please let us know if you are using a separate audio card (not onboard) and check your latest soundcard driver. An update of DirectX may be required.
You should go to Origin -> "My Games" -> rightclick and choose "Repair Install"
To check if it's related to your GPU, please go to the options menu of DS3 and set the graphic options to "low". Let us know if the issue still happens now. For a testrun, disable all applications on Windows you don't need at the moment.
Keep us updated!

Hi Eabastian,
I have tried everything that you have suggested and more. I have tried multiple graphics card drivers, multiple audio interfaces, and many, many combinations of in game options including the low option that you suggested. Repairing the install was the 1st thing I tried. The sound is still stuck in every case. The only thing that changes the sound is Vsync which, when on, limits the sound to around 30 times per seceond. The sound repeats much faster with vsync off suggesting that the door sound is playing every frame rendered.
I'm not at my home computer currently so I don't have a full dxdiag for you, but my basic system specs are:
i5-3570k CPU
GTX660Ti GPU
16gb DDR3 RAM
Thanks for the response!
