Dead Space 3 Save Problem

Got the same problem as the rest of the people in this tread. Another thing with this save system is that when it only saves the inventory you can get **bleep** loads of scraps and other resources and you can also get more then one weapon from quests in the game. Seriusly, does EA have any beta testers at all!?

Same **bleep** problem. Very frustrating. Need a fix VERY, VERY soon or this goes back!

Also have the exact same problem. Will see 'saving progress' (not just 'saving inventory') then do a manual save and quit right after and always end up having to replay the prior scene. My most recent issue (not the first) was after the crash on the planet, Issac exits ship and heads into the snow, get the save message..... quit, loaded it back up the next day, had to replay the full scene of the ship prior to the crash. Was pretty annoying since I had just done it. So I don't get it.

Figured the 'saving' and starting from last save went hand in hand. Guess not. The save stations were a sure thing for that at least. Too bad they removed them. Should save through every door.

Unfortunately I won't be playing Dead Space 3 again, probably ever. This is a very common occurance for me and i'm fed up. I play the game for hours and pass many save checkpoints, choose save and exit so there is no question progress should be saved. I don't need to start up in the exact spot I was when I quit, I don't mind replaying a section but the game put me back, in this last case, where I was over 2 hours before I quit last time. It always seems to start me off in areas where I am locked in a room with waves and waves of enemies and it takes me numerous tries to advance. I'm sick of replaying this section and I won't do it again because I have no faith that the game will save my progress. 

So I'm done with Dead Space, it's a shame because I was looking forward to getting down to the snow planet. 

 Is there a fix for this game coming soon??

I am playing on a ps3 console. 4 different ones actually and tried 4 different usernames and 2 different discs. after 39 hours of crashing, wiping out my save file, reloading copied saves, moving ever so slowly through everyplace i knew there was an auto save i finally made it to chapter 17 optional mission. I cannot take the elevator ride back to the top without it freezing . I surrender . necromorphs win. EA wins - they got my money.

My game froze 4 times just at the end of the conning tower mission. Just as i was trying to ride the elevator back to the shuttle. Finally gave up and skipped it. End of that trophy. now i cannot complete the optional mission in chapter 17. freezes on elevator ride . Can't even begin to count the number of times it froxe and wiped out my save file.

 Is there a fix for this game coming soon??

This worked for me. You might want to try it. 

• Open Origin and go to "My Games".
• Right Click on Dead Space 3.
• Select "Show Game Details".
• Select the "Cloud Storage" Tab.
• UN-CHECK the box that says "Enable Cloud Storage for All Games"

I play as a single player and this worked for me. I guess my saved games are now on my hard drive and that's fine with me. At least I can pick up where I left off after a save. I am not sure if and how this might affect Multiple player games.

Before I did this, I was ready to return the game. I had to play parts over and over again. I think there is a serious problem with the "cloud" storage. That's the only thing I can think of.

are you playing on a pc download version?? I am on a ps3 console. I signed in to origin account and do not see anywhere about cloud game saves. Psn plus allows cloud storage of save files (which i have) but i have been copying the saves to a flash drive after every successful progress saving point. That requires quitting the game and restarting. I have managed to fight(the game- not necromorphs) to get to level 17 but somehow even my flash drive save will not let me get past level 17
