I need help! I downloaded Dead Space to Origin, but I can't start the game. It says that the game needs an internet connection and that I should check the connection. But I have an internet connection, and the game won't start, what can I do?
Depending on if you have dead space 1 or 2, make sure that Dead Space.exe or DeadSpace2.exe are in the list of allowed apps in your firewall configuration. If you have an antivirus, it might be your antivirus blocking dead space.
I checked my firewall etc. and Dead Space.exe is allowed, but it still doesn't open, same message, "Check your Internet connection." What to do?
Do you have the latest version of Origin installed? What antivirus is installed on your computer?

Yes, I do have the latest Origin installed. I have an antivirus program called Elisa antivirus (in Finnish it's Elisa Tietoturvapalvelu). And I sent an email to an EA game advisor.
OK, somehow I got it fixed, the game is working now, so problem solved. 🙂
