Dead Space Remake: New Game Plus bonus unable to launch and has frozen the game.

Completed Dead Space Remake.  New Game Plus fails to successfully launch. Freezes on a screen with no features or options to choose.  Now, each time I try to start Dead Space Remake, it goes to that frozen screen.  I have used the Steam Integrity check on all files and they come back correct.

Any help on getting the game running again?  It worked flawlessly (except some game glitches which did not bother me) until after I completed the game and tried to start the New Game Plus bonus.
