Same issue here, tried a bunch of fixes with no luck.
Hey Everyone,
If you on having issues launching Dead Space on PC after our latest patch, can we try the following steps and check if this continues?
- Make sure the game is installed on an internal SSD (versus HDD or external SSD connected via USB)
- Run the System File Checker tool then Check for Windows and GPU updates
- EA App's Cache (Top Left Menu > Help > App Recovery)
- Repair Games (Go to My Collection > Select the tile Dots > Repair)
- Check for other applications that may be limiting EA App or Game performance
- Rolling back your GPU drivers to a previous version then test
- Put your device in a Clean Boot then launch the game
Thanks!

Its infuriating that employees don't even read the thread and think about the problem we are facing. You think if it was one of the most obvious fixes you suggested, we would still be stuck unable to play a $60 dollar game? No * I've tried everything on that list. I bet everyone else here has too. Please use some intuition and maybe actually problem solve instead of regurgitating useless "solutions". How is a full priced EA game not going to launch on EA PLAY first week of release?

do you not read the thread you're responding to? it's stated VERY clearly that I have the STEAM version, not the EA app. So none of your advice is helping.

Hi @dragongoddess30 To confirm some EA games on the Steam client do run EA App in the background, however, you can also try to Verify the game in your Steam library in addition to the other steps I mentioned above.
If the issue continues be sure to let us know the following:
PSN ID/Xbox GT:
Region:
Are you using an internal or external drive?
Are you using an HDD or SSD?
Date this issue started (is it still happening?)?
Is anything else happening?
If possible, share a Screenshot or Clip...
If on PC, please share a DxDiag
Cheers!

1. I click play
2. App says that it is launching the game
3. EA play minimises
4. 3the mouse cursor turns into a blue waiting wheel
5. After 6 seconds mouse cursor turns to normal and EA app appears, and shows that I can "play" Dead Space again. Nothing happens.
I tried to repair files on EA app, but it takes ages, and no progress is shown. Repair did not help. Tried installing newest c++ - no luck.
Updating GPU drivers did not help too.
Intel Core i7-6700K
Radeon RX580
8 Gb RAM
And yes, I am trying to run the game from SSD

@Superkaifas Thank you. So I took a look at your system, and I can quite a few errors with Windows and different programs along with memory leaks as well. I would first recommend uninstalling the game, and then going through the following steps to update and repair your system.
Check for Windows and GPU updates - For this do a fresh install of your GPU drivers so it deletes old and installs new. Then make sure all of Windows and optional drivers are updated.
Install/Repair your VC++ files for the game (Microsoft VC++ Link) You may have done this but repairing them would not hurt.
Delete Windows Temp Files
- First, make sure you close as many programs as you can
- Press the Windows key + R, go into the file explorer
- Type in %temp%, and hit Enter
- Delete everything it allows you to delete
- Reboot the PC
Optional Registry clean-up
- install CCleaner (it's free) from here
- Run Registry cleaner
- Click review selected issues
- Do you want to back up? No
- Click Fix all selected issues
Run the System File Checker tool - You want to repair Windows and your SSD, so run both.
After that, reboot and install the game again.
If this does not work, run through the following:
- Put your device in a Clean Boot then launch the game
- Try the Game in different Compatibility settings
- Try Safe Mode with Networking
- Try a new Windows Account
