do you not read the thread you're responding to? it's stated VERY clearly that I have the STEAM version, not the EA app. So none of your advice is helping.

EA Staff (Retired)Hi @dragongoddess30 To confirm some EA games on the Steam client do run EA App in the background, however, you can also try to Verify the game in your Steam library in addition to the other steps I mentioned above.
If the issue continues be sure to let us know the following:

Region:
Are you using an internal or external drive?
Are you using an HDD or SSD?
Date this issue started (is it still happening?)?
Is anything else happening?
