DS Remake: Loading and performance issues.
I've been experiencing a plethora of game/near game breaking bugs since starting on launch day. It's to be expected, so early in its release, which why I'm not angry when there's so much right with the game as a whole. My biggest issue is the fact that things just don't load in when they're supposed to: Necromorphs, more often than they should, spawn invisible (This can happen to Isaac too when loading a save file, but this is fixed by waiting awhile for the game to load things in. I think it's because the rig, not to be confused with the RIG, exists even when the mesh doesn't; rigs don't render, but their animation will still exist whether or not the mesh does). This also happens frequently with rooms when they're in view (they don't have to be open doors, seeing that they often don't exist until the rooms they're supposed to hide have loaded in). Key items often don't spawn where/when they're supposed to, like various key cards on chapters 3 and 6, or power cells for example (they disappear entirely at times. This is game breaking assuming you don't save in different slots like I did; save a few hours, that did). But the worst bug I've encountered was absolutely game breaking and the reason I'm writing this now: rooms now do not load and the doors, while spawned in this time, give the infinite load circle of doom. I've changed graphics settings, power settings, re-installing the game, I even started a new file (That took considerable effort, seeing that the main menu was invisible for me until the reinstall), to make sure that whatever bug in the previous save files didn't continue with the reboot. Now I can't leave the first room to enter the flight lounge while being given awkward stares by the NPC's (start of the game). The reset fixed some loading issues, made the game run a little smoother, and save files load quicker and with the loading screen present like they didn't before (although I did have a moment of hysterical laughter when the camera decided NOT to follow an invisible Isaac, save for half of his plasma cutter, enter a room and close the door in time to be attacked by an invisible necromorph again).
To reiterate: Things don't spawn, rooms don't load/load well, invisible opponents, invisible Isaac, there were some animation sequences that didn't occur (not game breaking so they stayed unlisted), and menus deciding to go on a vacation and not show up for work.
