Hard locked impossible save in chapter 12 due to riglink

After moving the marker past the Supply Depot, there's an in between area with a button and a save station. When walking into the area, I pressed the button to move the marker, starting Nicole's dial...

    I started another new game plus impossible save to recreate the bug. My original soft lock was between the Supply Depot and the Transfer Junction. I was not able to recreate this soft lock. I always had Nicole's dialogue restart after every reload. This was never listed in the patch notes, but I guess this one is fixed? My old save is still broken though, so if anyone reading this has a save like that, I guess your only option is to start over.

    I was however, able to consistently soft lock the game in the next set of blast doors. Going from Transfer Junction to Storage Chamber, pressing the button, then immediately saving will still soft lock your game. If you have this issue, you can follow the new thread here.

@XiqKS Is it possible to use a save right before this one to see if you continue past this point?

Sorry, hadn't checked the thread in a while. The save was impossible new game plus, I have no autosaves to rollback to. It also appears to be a much bigger problem than I had originally thought, as NastyCrimeboy8 gets the same issue but in a different spot: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/Chapter-12-Marker-Softlock-Bug/td-p/12267449

Seems that we both came to the same conclusion as well, hitting the button to move the marker and then IMMEDIATELY saving will HARD LOCK saves. The game progresses as normal until you reload though. Then the save is locked.

Like you said, I wish I could roll back the saves, but were not able to. If these hard lock problems aren't getting fixed soon, I would love impossible to have the feature to rollback to at least the previous save. This was my third play through, I'm in love with the game, but it has some serious hard lock issues. To my knowledge, if you're playing the game on a hard drive it can hard lock itself due to batteries, rigs, keycards, etc. not spawning in Chapters 2, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, and 11. Now hard locks are possible in at least two different places in chapter 12, even on SSDs, from the bug we experienced. PLEASE add rollbacks to impossible mode. Even if it wouldn't work for my save, please don't make anyone else throw away 8+ hours when they didn't even make a mistake.

    @XiqKS Adding on, If I'm understanding Nastycrimeboy8's issue correctly, both of our issues came from the in between zone blast doors. Those corridors with back-to-back blast doors and a save in between. Mine bugged at Power Junction in between zones. His bugged after Power Junction but still in that next corridor. These double blast door save rooms seem to be the issue when immediately saving after using the button.

      Yep, you got it right. Our issues aren't at the exact same blast doors zones but still, there must be some kind of scripting error regarding saving while the marker is moving through those in-between zones.
