keep dying at alien ruins in chapter 19 for no apparent reason

im going through the alien ruins in chapter 19 and whenever i try to progress i always seem to keep randomly dying. i know it wasnt necromorphs because even when i kill all of them i always seem to die randomly ive redone this part about 17 times and has taken me over 30 minutes. i dont know if this is a bug or something else but if anyone knows what this is please respond

    In Chapter 19 *******WARNING SPOILER******* The Story keeps telling.that the Moon is actually "living" so when the Unitology Chief,did shut down the machine, the moon awakens and starts absorbing everything -

    That means you have to RUN not KILL until you reach the very  end or at least the only savepoint with bench,Suit Kiosk etc.

    otherwise,the Vortex will kill you instantly ,everytime when you stay to long on one platform with the necromorphs
