[Old Report] Xbox - Game Has Constant Crashing

I got Dead Space remake as a preorder on the Xbox series x, since release day I have had nothing but constant crashing within the opening minute of the game, i've done everything possible, restart the consoles, unplug it, wait for minutes on end, replug it, the light factory reset, unplugged my external harddrives, cleared the alt wan memory, the save data, uninstalled and reinstalled numerous times, the only thing that made me have hope for a moment was to lower the resolution on my xbox to 1080p 60htz from 4K 60htz and pan the camera on Isaac's face instead of out the window and i was able to atleast get off the ship before it froze and crashed. I've tried literally everything, the only other game that did this to me was watch dog legion when it first came out, and i had to wait months for all the updates they did before it would play properly, I hope to god that this isnt the case with Dead Space because I absolutely love this series, die hard fan since the beginning. But this is unacceptable to pay $100+ for a game I cant even play, im borderline ready to ask for a refund from microsoft cause at this point, whats the point of owning a game I cant play for more that 20 seconds. Please fix this with an update that's larger than 300mb, cause when i saw the update size, I had a very good feeling it was in no way going to fix what was going on with my game, to which it didnt.

  • I can’t get past the “electronics arts” loading screen in the very beginning! I returned the game on MS store and bought the disc version and it still crashes at the exact same spot. Discouraged for sure as I love dead space too but I’m honestly at a  lost on what to do next.

  • Im dang near requesting a refund, I want to wait for a fix but at the same time, $100+ aint no peanuts for a game I cant even play due to this issue

  • Hi..I was facing the same issues too..with many games, FIFA 23, jedi survivors. What I did was bought a tip cooling fan that ran at 2000 rpm and cleaned the internal of the Xbox. Now none of those games crash except starfield but it crashes less often now.

Previously I had a fan but it went up to 1800rpm. It was still crashing then I just decided to try a stronger fan and so far it works and I can play those games that used to crash.

Hope this helps because I too was very very frustrated.
